#EndtheYear

Say goodbye to all the fears
Wipe away all the tears
New year, workin through a pile
New year, come out and smile

It's true that 2016 had been a very dreadful year.

A lot of inspirational people died. A lot of frustrating events occurred. A lot of disasters came and destroyed the nation. A lot of unexpected things happened.

2016 affected a lot of people and I am no exception to that.

My year had been full of depression and frustrations. Horrible things happened. I've suffered a lot of slumps. I've wallowed in pity and had been dispirited many times. Dreams came crashing down, expectations were not met, got stuck in the middle of nowhere.

I've got to be honest, I am still on that zone. I am still stuck. I am still on a slump. I am still depressed and frustrated of what my life turned out to be. I guess I am in the "quarter-life" crisis and right now I still don't know how to get out of it.

But the year is ending, and I wish that everything that is bad in my life would end too.

Still, there are a lot of things to be thankful for because as I looked back on the events that happened in my life. I have come to realize and learn that I am still young and I still got a lot of time. A lot of time to smile. A lot of time to make mistakes. A lot of time to make up for those mistakes. A lot of time to change. A lot of time to enjoy. A lot of time to have fun. A lot of time to love. A lot of time to be me. A lot of time to live.

2016 was indeed a no good, terrible, horrible, dreadful year but there were good times that happened to me as well.
 - I survived and graduated college.
 - I've come to intern on large companies (Inquirer & Viva Comm) and enjoyed the field while at it.
 - I've been to a lot of places I've never been.
 - I've had weird adventures.
 - I met a lot of people and encountered a lot of personalities and attitudes.
 - I made a lot of friends and thankful of how I endured the year with their help.
 - I have worked and got paid for it.
 - I've become an adult in a blink of an eye.
 - I've also become a child every time I need to pause.
 - I've become a person who always tries hard.
 - I've come to appreciate the kindness of people.
 - I've come to appreciate even the smallest things.
 - I've come to love God more.
 - I've come to love my family more.
 - I've come to love myself more.
 - I've lived for another year.

Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind

Oh My Darling, Clementine
To lose thy memories or nein
Process ended, but we met again somehow
Please let destiny lead us now

When I first came to know this film, I didn't know that it is a Jim Carrey one and I didn't expect to actually know half of the cast - but then I do. (To support my ignorance of the film, this movie is somehow just in my laptop waiting to be opened, before actually watching it, I didn't search about it neither do I had internet when I opened it.)

I first thought that it would have the same vibe like "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" and "Me, Earl and the Dying Girl" but it was completely different but closely compelling.

I loved how everything was presented, the sequence of how everything was shown. The backstory of the supporting characters were to watch out as well. Jim's acting is beyond compare (like if it's Jim Carrey you would, "ahh, the guy in The Mask" but actually I have to pause the film a lot of times to be sure that it is Jim Carrey). The amazing about this film is how everything is connected as well as the idea of making someone completely forget a part of his life. And the script and narrative is commendable as well.

It is very interesting and somehow you would think what if there is really a clinic like Lacuna? What if you could actually forget something completely? and somehow you would also look back on your life and get sentimental.

Apocalypse Child

Surf's up
Feelings drowned
Memories of childhood
Breaks through

I have been meaning to watch indie films and I'm glad that my new found friends are into it. Therefore, I'll be able to watch some from now on.

Basically, it's about this popular surfer in Baler, Ford, who struggles on getting real about his roots.

Ford is practically a celebrity in his town because he was said to be the lovechild of the famous director of 'Apocalypse Now', Francis Ford Coppola PLUS he's too good of a surfer. He teaches surfing as well and he has this kind of relationship with Fiona, a Fil-Am who came home to Baler to visit her dying grandmother.

When his childhood friend came home to mourn his father, his past were slowly getting in the surface. Little by little, there are some sort of revelations about the characters, not only Ford, every scene that makes you on the edge of your seat, anticipating what will happen next.

(will not you spoil you anymore beyond this point)

The good thing about this film is it tackles a lot of issues and somehow picks on your brain making you ask, "what happened?", "how did it happened?", "why are they like that?"

There were a lot of vulgar scenes, but these scenes given depth to the whole story. The way it was filmed were fantastic. The plot line is obviously deliberated and thought of. The actors were too good on this film, even I enjoyed Jordan's character and he's just being funny.

As for me, I freaking love Fiona. I loved how Annicka portrayed her and I loved that scene when he confronted Ford and she was thrashing all around, man that was good! And her lines were amazingly written, "Why does everything have to be mystical? Stop making excuses and just admit that he made a mistake, he failed." She is the most real character in the film, in my opinion.

No wonder that this film were multi-awarded!

AND the soundtrack is just too damn good! The post-credit song has been going in my head for more than a week now!

As of now, Apocalypse Child is still showing in some cinemas. Go watch it now, you won't regret it!

WHEN THE HALLYU WAVE HITS YOU HARD

Ooh that charm, that grace
These human being that's good in sing and dance
Top it all off with a charming face
For month's you will sure be in trance

I think you already guessed what this post will be about.
Not a few months ago have I really been interested in boy groups and all that but I had to admit that I already foreseen that one way or another I'll be like my friends who fawn over this pretty guys.

It's not that I'm clueless about the Hallyu Wave nor am I that innocent -- I have been watching asian dramas and have a couple of boy groups that I loved and liked back when I was a kid.
F.T. Island "Where's the Truth" album cover
The thing is, Hallyu Wave in the form of boy groups have never been THAT appealing to me to the point that all my playlist will be filled of 'em (like yea, I may have downloaded a few, most songs from soundtracks of the dramas I watched).
But you see, that's clearly not the case now.

Before the only Korean groups that I follow is "CNBlue" and "F.T.Island" and oh, have I known all their songs and what the members are up to -- especially CNBlue. This is basically because I prefer pop rock, rock genre and that's what these two groups produces.
And these two are the only ones I followed..... until now.

CN Blue "2gether" album photo teaser

I am a sucker for Asian dramas and I watch every time I have a free time (to be honest, it's taking up too much of my time that I don't even have time to read or practice piano sometimes) but it's not that bad at all since watching Asian dramas since I was a kid inspired me to learn a new language -- now, I am also learning Korean.

Back to topic, so with my love of Asian dramas comes with my love of its cast and its OSTs, and that's where this boy group madness began.

After a few years of resistance, I just gave in little by little.

The first boy group that I followed was INFINITE

INFINITE "Reality" album cover
I was amazed by the vocals and charisma, and basically fell in love watching them on reality shows. And since we're talking about boy groups and stuff already, the first member that introduced me to this group is their member "L" -- because he starred on these dramas that I simply liked, and he was really good at portraying his characters as well. As of the moment, he is my "bias" among the group, but "Woohyun" (Namu) is closing on that top spot.

Next on the list is "Born to Beat!" BtoB
BtoB "Remember That" EP cover

I was thankful that I discovered this group during their first take on their ballad trilogy (and that was last year), otherwise I wouldn't notice them AT ALL. (Simply because the pop, hip-hop genre is not really my thing). This group is simply perfection, I tell you, their vocal line is impressively great as well as their rap line (plus they can simply switch roles) and they are super dorks!! Like seriously!! They can take every guesting into comedy and that is just what I love about 'em.

I was introduced to this group by "Sungjae" -- because like L, he was also starred on the few dramas that I liked (School 2015: Who Are You is so goooooood!) and currently my bias is "Changsub" :)

NEXT is "Voice, Visual, Value in Excelsis", VIXX!

VIXX "Hades" EP cover
I am still on the hype on this group. Personally, I find boy groups with superficial concepts stupid, but this group is noted as the "Concept Kings" of Kpop and surprisingly I was hooked because their concepts are seriously thought of and you will feel how hard they prepare for these stuffs.

The release of their latest song's MV, "Fantasy" even put my mood up for the whole day and no one put my mood down that day (and I am usually grumpy), clearly that is the effect of this group to me.
The most amazing thing here is they have a power rapper, "Ravi" that can also sing, plus their power vocals are just goosebump-ily good. [So I'm gonna stop here because if I keep going, this will never end... as I said I am still on this group's hype]

I have known their member "Ken" before, since he sang a OSTs of two different dramas that I loved, and back then I never had the interest to actually look them up, all I know is that this guy has a very good voice and his voice lifts my mood up. Not only when I saw them across the MTV Diary (back then I was so into BtoB that I watched all their reality show and then I saw VIXX there and I was intrigued) did I looked them up. As of the moment, my bias is still Ken... I loved his voice right from the start, and his 4D personality.... whoa!!

Currently I am looking into EXO
(now, if any Kpoppers would read this... I only knew EXO a few days from now because I just think that a group similar to Super Junior is not really worth attention but I stand corrected)

EXO "Ex'Act" album photo teaser
So, I basically started from the very beginning and have been watching EXO Showtime last week, and they are cool guys, honestly. It's just sad that there are three members that are not with them anymore (contract severed). So right now I'm enjoying EXO-K's songs, especially "Peter Pan" (because if you haven't heard I am a sucker for Peter Pan, like ANYTHING related to him I truly love) and I have yet came to the era when the three members were out. I am just currently enjoying their variety shows.

It's not like I never knew EXO (duh? SM Ent's marketing is superb, plus the news), it's just that I preferred not to know about them back then but when I saw Suho on "Exciting India" (with Minho, Kyuhyun, Jonghyun, Sunggyu and Changmin == please note that Jonghyun is a member of CNBlue and Sunggyu is the leader of INFINITE, so there is no chance that I wouldn't come across this show), I literally fell in love at first sight (firstly, because he looks like Siwon of SuJu) and he looks like a sensible guy, so he's basically the one who introduced me to his group. As of the moment, I am still undecided of my bias but D.O. and Chen is coming at me.

Just like I said, I was never naive on things K-pop because my friends talk about it a lot and the Philippines is probably the number one fan of Hallyu Wave so, there is really no use in resisting it. Just so you know, these groups are the ones that is coming close to my heart and it's not like I haven't heard of the others:

SUBCONSCIOUSLY I know and I like these groups/soloists:
- Super Junior (duh?) (I even dreamt of Donghae before I even know or saw them, weird....)
- Big Bang
- SHINEE
- Amber of f(x) (sorry, I don't really find the group appealing but I find her great and interesting)
- AOA (because they are part of the FNC fam, agency that manages CNBlue and F.T.Island)
- Got7 (mainly because of Jackson, JB and Junior)

So, there......
I think I'm gonna watch some Kdrama now.......

Wednesday 1 June 2016

When 4 songs has the same melody and you have nothing against it.

One sound, one heart
one music, one art
Various singers but same passion
Various lyrics but same interpretation

As I go deeper into the internet, the weirder the stuffs I find. This may be common for people who surfs the internet just for fun, and seriously it'll take up most of your time.

So, this is what happened to me.

As I browse on Instagram and clicked on this fanmade video, a familiar melody was heard then I searched the lyrics of this certain song which turned out to be Regine Velasquez' (a Filipino singer and is also known as the 'Asia's Songbird') and Jacky Cheung's (a Singaporean singer) "In Love With You".

I looked into the comments section and as expected there are a few Filipinos and Singaporeans comments, but then I was intrigued when I saw some Korean writing there. I know that Velasquez and Cheung was big back then but their song is back on 1994, and as far as I know Koreans are not that into globalization back then (if what I know is true, you can contradict this statement anytime). And it turns out, there was a 90's South Korean song that has the same melody as well. The song was "시작되는 연인들을 위해" ("The start of a couple", roughly translated) by Lee Won-jin and Ryu Geum-deok.

It was supposed to be a controversy back then since both songs were released on 1994, but I can't find any articles about the suit or about the controversy in general.

However, I was still restless because these two songs are great but it's not quite what I was looking for and that was the time when I remembered Mariah Carey and her song "Thank God I Found You" together with Joe and 98 degrees, which was released on 2000.

Now there was one lawsuit about this song that was settled out of the court. Apparently, there was another R&B group Xscape with the song "One of those Love Songs" released on 1998. (Hah! I just found this one while I am writing this post, it is definitely getting interesting.)

And while I am talking about this melody now and how the people behind this songs are claiming that they are ripping off of each other. There is a certain song that started this melody at this was back in 1988, whether we say they all ripped off the melody from this song or not, this song is definitely the best version of this melody. (Not only because it is a classic but the singer was also fantastic) and no, it's not the One Direction song.

Sooooooooooo, basically I spent a whole four hours listening to these songs and savoring the song as well (there were a lot of karaoke moments in my part) and researching about it as it led me to another intriguing statement to another.

It was fun listening to these songs and I hope that you guys have fun listening to it as well.

I am not creating a controversy or anything, I'm just pointing out how similar they are and I just want to tell you that you're not the only one who things these songs sound the same. ;)

As Romeo and Juliet subsides, Callie Adams-Foster is in for another ride.

Worst comes to worst
All the secrets gets exposed
Despite adult advises
Teenagers makes bad choices

Phew!!! This season is by far the most stressful.

There are a lot of things that I loved and wouldn't want to change but the others were just too much!!
And since I can't actually do this on a summarized note, I'll break this down.

Just a small recap on the past season:
(If you haven't seen ALL the episodes, then this might come out as a spoiler)

From looking for the driver opposite of the crash, Stef were more strict than ever and her having so much stress makes me stressed from watching it. She's a cop, yea... but she can't hog all the work, Mike's still there, isn't he?
Oh, and this was the time when Brandon was still in Idyllwild and there was the "competition" that Brandon stresses about. This is the also the episode when Callie met AJ.
And there's this gay issues with Connor's dad (ironic how this was aired for Father's Day), Jude and Connor is on an actual relationship at this point but Jude wanted to keep it low, and Callie was with the Quinns and guess what? Robert and his wife will be separating. And Callie resolved her issue with Donald so there's that. And since the Fosters hits their capacity range, they suggest that Mike adopt AJ instead, because their hearts cannot take another child (who is nearly of age) to be strayed or whatever.
Add as Stef sees the principal, Monte at the gay bar, she was astounded to know that she is gay and worries about her spouse. Then Stef just became to intolerable. Callie and Brandon just doesn't like the idea of AJ becoming part of the family, especially Brandon

STRESS TOLL:
Stef = 2
Lena = 1
Brandon = 2
Callie = 1
Mariana = 0
Jesus = n/a
Jude = 1 (bc of Connor's dad)

Lena's family came to town and brought up the long overdue issue of racism towards the colored race. It was resolved, if I'm not mistaken, in the same episode so that's less than one thing we can take off our stress list. Jude was still not able to grasp that he is gay and was against labels, while Connor was open with his sexuality creating a rift between them, but was mended throughout the episode as well.
Callie had a 'bright' (please note the sarcastic quotation marks) idea and forces Brandon to Mexico to skydive, while the moms back at home saw a disposed prego test and initially thought that it was Callie's and Brandon's (ha!!! and they talk about removing the Brallie plotline? I don't think it would be possible guys) and turns out it was Mariana's. At this point, Mat and Mariana called it quits.
Callie's birthday. Everyone acts unnaturally to the point that Jude calls out Callie for being an insufferable baby (since Jude planned the surprise) and here goes Callie turning to every guy she meets... Callie and AJ. At the party, Brandon goes through his phone and discovers that AJ had been phoning his brother and lashes out at him. Mike condemns Brandon for starting the fight and his son reveals the truth. However, Mike doesn't want to hear it and Brandon leaves. Mike later apologizes and reassures that he loves him.

STRESS TOLL:
Stef = 3
Lena = 1 (it was initially 2 bc of the prego scare, but since there was a resolution regarding the racism that her brother has against her, -1)
Brandon = 3 (two bc of AJ, 1 bc of Idyllwild)
Callie = 2
Mariana = 1
Jesus = n/a
Jude = 0

AJ moves to Rita's home because he and Callie cannot live at the same house.

ugghhh... this is dragging.

Back in Idyllwild, Brandon racks his brain for a new composition and when he shared it with one of his colleagues it was plagiarized that made another stressful day for Brandon at the music camp. A social worker also came and said that she won't support Callie's adoption without checking her and Brandon's relationship.
Callie sleeps over Girls United. Brandon and Callie was separately interviewed and they provided different answers. Brandon finds out the real reason why AJ moved out the last time and accuses his mom of being unfair. Brandon was later in front of Girls United but leaves before he can even talk to Callie.

STRESS TOLL:
Stef = 3
Lena = 1
Brandon = 6 (2 bc of music camp. 3 bc of AJ, 1 bc of Callie
Callie = 3
Mariana = 1
Jesus = n/a
Jude = 0

There was a commotion at Girls United and because Callie is 'one of them', she tried to resolve it resulting in a recording about her and Carmen about how she and Brandon snuck around GU kissing and stuff. Brandon plays an original at the showcase and later won. Stef found out about Monte hitting on Lena and trust me it didn't go well. Closing the end of the episode, Callie send the recording to Rita for it to be used to clear her name and go out of detention. And this is the episode why Brallie will never end, since Callie gave up the thought of her being adopted, she 'spent', if you know what I mean, the night with Brandon.

STRESS TOLL:
Stef = 4
Lena = 2
Brandon = 3 (minus Idyllwild and Callie)
Callie = 5 (add GU and Brandon)
Mariana = 1
Jesus = n/a
Jude = 0

So, next is Connor decides to live with his mother, Callie is officially a member of the Adam-Foster's family (which complicates one or two things). And Jesus is back!!!! (in the form of Noah Centineo).

STRESS TOLL:
Stef = 3 (retracted stress)
Lena = 1 (retracted stress)
Brandon = (added 1 but retracted it bc Jesus is back)
Callie = 5 (added 1 but retracted it bc Jesus is back)
Mariana = 0 (retracted stress)
Jesus = 0
Jude = 0 (added 1 but retracted it bc Jesus is back)

And this is where the second half of the season begins...

Callie became this catalyst of change of the foster care system through "Fost and Found". We met Justina and Jack. Justina became this investor and brought Callie's app to life (though I always knew that Justina would be the bad guy somehow, she's too shady right from the start.) and Jack became the new found friend of Jude (maybe because he's trying to fill that emptiness that Connor left.)

Callie broke a sweat on trying to make Fost and Found work and to make her campaign work. But since government got involved, her simple project got complicated. Various people tries to protect her and various people tries to alter and manipulate her mind, but Callie is her own person. Always been. It has always been her character but sometimes I just get tired of her being someone who wants to change everything. At some point, I wanted her to be just a regular person, a teenager, but we already have a character for that (*coughs* Mariana *coughs*). Maybe it's just tiring to see the main character being tired of everything all the time.

Jude's life became bolder when Connor came and as expected it will be duller once he left but what does one do when a certain 'special friend' leaves you with no assurance or anything?
Long distance relationship is crap, but it can work out to. However, even though we all wanted it to work out with Jonnor... they are kids still and first loves don't always work.
Now, I like how Jack got in the story, somehow he made a good companion with Jude (I just don't like how Jude developed some kinds of feelings for him because we all know how Jack turned out) and that made Jude mature, I think. To know that not all the time you could be with one friend. That you need to reach out to someone else eventually.

Now, I've always loved the twins and I did not hate when they replaced Jake Austin when he left because I wanted to give Noah a chance and I think it'll be better to have the cast replaced than to kill Jesus. As expected, Noah didn't disappoint (I just miss how Jake plays with his character sometimes that it comes out funny. Jake is a funny guy, we all got that watching him from WOWP)

The twin's storyline just keeps on getting better. Jesus had a new friend, Nick, who gave more color to his life because what can a hyper dude needs is a hyper friend and that is what Nick is. He also tried to look for their birth father (after Ana, this... well, let's get together everyone!). Mariana, hoping to make her junior year productive goes to running for junior class president to acting in a play.

I love how they inserted the twin's birth father, it oozed out emotions from the two. I like how Jesus, now that he's a teenager, what's to know his dad and that was what I was waitng for somehow since season 1 (because you don't see any interaction between him and Mike and because Jesus is a guy, he ought to have a father figure in his life.) I like Gabe's character, I like how eventually he genuinely likes to get to know the twins when Jesus introduced himself despite his situation. On the other hand, my hate for Ana grows (I don't know how she is being a key character in this show. I say ditch her already)
And I liked Nick as his friend as well. Both spontaneous and fun.
One scene I truly enjoyed was when Jesus thanked Stef for supporting, that was when I felt that Noah truly became his character and that everyone embraced Noah as Jesus. (or maybe that's just me.

The colorful life of Mariana Adams-Foster is something to look out for every season.
I am a pro- Mat/Mariana and I was so bummed when they split up but never lose hope! I mean if Brallie fans still has the spirit, no way that Mat and Mariana will call it quits that early. (and I was not disappointed :) )
I like how Mariana was not introduced to any guys at first, after what happened between her and Mat and I appreciate that she is still a headstrong girl and explored other things that she is most likely good at.
(I should point out that I do not like Nick for Mariana, for Jesus yes, but for Mariana no...)
And I super loved the R&J episode.

I would skip the moms, but I liked how they worked out their marital issues and how they opened up about cancer and how hair and breasts doesn't define you as a woman and is not less feminine wihout them. Lena and Stef has always been a power couple and I like how they are always there.
I personally love when Stef is in a crime scene that may somehow relate to the kids.

I don't like AJ's character nor his storyline so I'm not gonna say anything about it.

As for the prime characters of this season.

We all know how this two just can't get enough of each other. They are each other's one true love and these are the circumstances that prevents them from being together but at some point it just got exhausting.

- It's exhausting when they finally got together at the end of 4A, then they had to stop again in the beginning of 4B.
- It's exhausting when AJ came into the picture, because duh? the guy certainly has some thingamabob on Callie!
- It's exhausting when the viewers had to see Callie go for yet another foster brother (though not legally but Mike adopted AJ so same thing!)

- then it was exhausting when Brandon has to somehow take responsibility of what they did in the cabin because Callie was the girl and he has this undying affection for her.
- It was exhausting when AJ came into the picture and not only made moves on Callie but infiltrated his family by getting adopted by Mike, the only thing that Brandon got to call his and only his.
- It's exhausting when Brandon met yet another complicated girl like Courtney.
- It's incredibly sweet but at the same time exhausting to hear his beautiful music about Callie.

AND FOR AWESOMENESS OF R&J EPISODE, I PRESENT YOU A YOUTUBE PLAYLIST THAT CONTAINS IT. (not my channel though)

I freaking love seeing Corbin in this show!!!! I'm in ecstasy really!!!!

AND HERE'S THE PROMO FOR THE SEASON 4!!! WHO'S EXCITED FOR THE 20TH??

Oookay, I just watched the promo and whoa did Nick became a psycho!!!!!! O.o

Philippine Bloggers on the roll for Bloggys 2015

Too many blogs to see
Too many stories to read
But who gave the best content
and who thought of pure intent

Hi-Five Philippines!

So I found out about this awards ceremony for the best blogs in nation. And even though I am not one of them, I am still excited and happy for the winners and the best blogs of 2015 that were awarded at the Bloggys 2015 Awards Night at the SMX Convention Hall last year of November 21st!

Let's talk about this awarding. Bloggys was launched by Paul Agapin (who is the CEO of Essays.ph) and its main objective was to look out for best blogs and bloggers over all the variety of niches and industries. And with the help of several people, in different industries, to act as a judge, they came up with the awards such as: Champion, People's Champion, Best Design and Best Blog Post. They also gave out an award for the winner of each niches and People's Choice awards, which was decided by public voting, also for each of the niches.

I am a Filipino blogger as well but since I still hadn't gone 'out there' yet, I will be an aspiring blogger for now. So, I'm going to check out the best blogs and let's see what contents we can find.

For the Bloggys 2015 Champion, Pepper.ph bagged the bacon. Be it a real bacon? We don't know because Pepper's all about food.

Pepper also won as the winner on the Food and Dining category (obviously) and as the Best Design and I know that their interface and theme is something to be envious about. Maybe most of the bloggers would agree with me when I say that we all dream about an interactive and dynamic designs. People like me just doesn't really get those kinds of things, one day.... one day....

*

Next up is the People's Champion, Controversy Extraordinary. So, do Filipinos like controversies and intriguing out-of-the-blue things? YES! Even I can go hours and hours in researching about Nostradamus and (let's admit, because one way or another we all did this) Illuminati signs. Heck, I even liked Dan Brown's titles. And this blog is one example of where you can find these kinds of things.

I think, one of the reasons why this became the People's Champion is because it picked on the brains of the Filipinos and because of our certain hype for controversies, this blog offers articles which so you won't find or read about on a regular day.

*

The last blog that I will be talking about is The Endocrine Witch, which won for the Best Blog Post. Now, if you don't know what endocrine is, then you would probably mistake this one out for literature or fiction. ("Witch" of the words gave that impression out? Really?)

Miss Tan's medical blog also won as the People's Choice on the Health and Fitness category.

**

I wish I can check out and blog about all of the blog winners. There's just too much of them and they are all good!

And even though my blog is probably non-existent let me say, "CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE BLOGGYS 2015 WINNERS AND KEEP ON BLOGGING!"

All the best for Bloggys and I can't wait for the next year's awarding!

Where will Mike store his suit now?

All secrets out on the streets
Tell me, oh tell me is this worth the risk
Not believing in oneself, I regret
Will the firm deserve what it gets?

(I would rather you do not mind that prose up... I don't know, my mind is not working well)

SO!!! FIVE FREAKIN YEARS and it all went down to this.
To be honest I am pretty curious when they'll catch Mike as a fraud. Don't get me wrong, I love Mike and I wish I have his photographic memory and that charm to persuade people (yea, because I'm some introvert who doesn't do any socializing that making up a blog) but let's all admit that waiting five season for it to happen is enough.

So, let's breakdown 5B and what just happened... (because it all happened way too fast, and too harsh)

  • They left us a frustrating cliffhanger last year by arresting Mike on the last scene (that's a bummer because we had to wait until the new year to actually know what happened after that)

  • WHO THE FREAK IS ANITA GIBBS? Why is doesn't she have any chill? Why is she that mad? Why is she even on the show?!

  • #Darvey 's back! Ooohhhhh yeeeeaaaa!!

  • Okay, I understand Shiela Sasz and I forgive her for what she did but can you and Louis make up already?

  • I think Gretchen got a little too excited by Mike's promotion, thus the article, but can you blame her really?

  • When this Anita Gibbs went to Rachel and talk about her future, that was the time when I officially hated her.... again, why is she even on the show? I'm talking like any other lawyer could've prosecuted Mike, but nooooo, let's add another character without any back story whatsoever, why?

  • For 'God's green earth', she's into journalism as well?!?!?! Wasn't there any 'contempt of court' law in whenever dimension they are? Okay, that was me thinking without any basis, but still there was no verdict yet and she's a lawyer so she would know that that 'editorial' is libelous, whether she put her name on the byline or not. (I am a Journalism major and I don't get why they have this plot, someone enlighten me.)

  • Well, I missed the mock trials.

  • Can we go past Trevor already? It's getting on my nerves already....

  • And how sweet of Benjamin and Harold, like seriously these supporting actors are dope! Jimmy was cool too! That wink is just so cute!!

  • I DON'T WANT TO SEE DONNA ON THE STAND EVER AGAIN! Seriously, it breaks my heart whenever she's on the stand. She is just so vulnerable on there, and Donna shouldn't be seen as vulnerable.

  • Well, here goes the negotiations and stuff that half of the audience doesn't understand (but yea, they broke it down in layman's terms so we can keep up)

  • I like the 'tick tock' scenes. I know it's like a direct hit to the episode's title but dang I enjoyed those scenes!

  • It's frustrating to see Harvey broke down again, but it's a big feels train to my #Darvey heart! Like seriously, can these two get together already?

  • I'M SO DISAPPOINTED IN YOU MIKE!! How can you not have faith in yourself? You with a photographic memory! You with the tricky mind! You with a persuading tongue! You with a pure and selfless heart! You with a lot to lose! You with a beautiful character! (Yes I know I'm not Rachel but 'Damn it Mike!')

  • I knew it!!! I knew he was found innocent...... WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?!?!

  • And as Mike goes to jail, Pearson-Specter-Litt goes into trouble, but I love how Jessica is holding up. She is definitely the best leader.

  • And we might be left with only 6 employees in the firm (Jessica, Harvey, Louis, Rachel, Donna & Gretchen... okay, maybe Benjamin as well, but that's just a possibility)....... :(

That was an intense season!
However, I think it is too intense this season. It's not like when Hardman came into the picture again, it's not like someone is catfishing them or Harvey being prosecuted again because of his past or whatsoever. It is the time when everything topples down because someone found out of about Mike being a fraud. It is the time when everyone involved starts on turning on each other. It is the time when we know who are loyal to the firm and those who are not. And it is that intense that somehow we all focused on the character's flaws, we all focused on who would take Mike's side or not, we all focused on that one villain who shook the ground, we all focused on all the negative things in this season that we can't even get a single laugh. Maybe that's why I loved that scene with Jimmy winking and stuff because it took a comedic spin (One scene Jimmy was so angry and insulted then he shows up at the trial winking at Mike and all)
I loved this season, however even though it's unrelated, I would love for some scenes to be on the light side. Even Louis' sassiness went off the radar this season and I hate not seeing him with all that sass and bitchyness. #Darvey feels are also minimal.
Everything was just so focused on Mike, I wonder how Patrick J. Adams handled the pressure of the character and how did he even direct several of its episodes.

There's no Season 6 promotional poster yet, but it's coming.....

ALL IN ALL, I'M STILL ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT WAITING FOR SUMMER!

I simply can't wait how will everything turn out, though I'm pretty sure that 2-year in prison would be somehow cut in half or higher. And we all know Louis is genius in recruiting so Pearson-Specter-Litt would be up and running in no time. And since I'm thinking of all positive things here, Shiela Sasz and Louis Litt will end up together, as well as Jessica and her lovey-dovey, showing a empathetic side of Jessica and not as a stone-cold leader. Mike and Rachel will also have their happily ever after and THERE WILL BE A WHOLE SEASON DEVOTED TO #DARVEY LOVE STORY!!!!

After Olympus, London has taken its toll

"Rattling a lion's cage
Struggling to stop a war of age
Many dead, a few survives
London will fall as Olympus revives"

I just watched the "London Has Fallen" and I'm telling you, this is more thrilling, nerve-wracking, vicious and brutal than the first.

(Disclaimer: This post may have spoilers. Don't say I didn't warn you)

So here goes.

Philippines and Manila was heard repeatedly at the intro as they show a few war tragedies, well I for one did not understand what the intro is for, then here comes the 'master terrorist' Aamir Barkawi that apparently is the mastermind for the attacks all over the world (Maybe my mind was just focused in the Philippines because I live there but yea, if they say all over the world, then be it)

Then next scene? The Americans bombed Barkawi's daughter's wedding. (At this point of time, my friend starts cussing, and continues to cuss until the end of the movie)

2 years later, we see President Asher in his dashing tracksuit having their morning jog with Mike Banning. Not only that, Mike Banning's wife is also prego and here we see the light side of the story as the wife calls Mike out for installing 6 cameras in the nursery. Mike also intends to resign from the Secret Service

Then in Yemen, we see Barkawi who is surprisingly alive despite the missile or bomb that landed their way 2 years ago... and not only Barkawi but also his sons, but apparently the daughter died. (Well, I don't see the logic in that)

And here comes London... the Prime Minister 'mysteriously' passed away urging every head of the country to take part in the funeral to show respect. And comes the fun part, presidents and prime ministers were coming from different roads to where the funeral is. Then the Canadian Prime Minister limo exploded, then the Prime Minister of Japan who were stuck in traffic at the bridge were also attacked, causing the bridge to fall down (London bridge is falling down.... falling down... falling down...) French President's yacht on the River Thames were bombed (don't know if its nuclear missile they used but the explosion was huge), then the Italian President with his mistress who was on the top of Westminster Abbey was also attacked.

Going back to President Asher, when the limo exploded, mercenaries disguised as royal palace guards and policemen started attacking. Of course, they ought to rush inside but before they could even go in, the doors were closed leaving the American guards to deal with the problem outside (Wow, what a way to protect your guests)

And back in  US we see the staffs of defense again, with Morgan Freeman now (Vice-President Trumbull) and their facial expressions on what's happening in London.

A lot of killings happened, a lot of sick car races, even choppers getting shot by missiles one by one. Seriously, these terrorists has no chill!

Then there was a scene where Banning and the President went in the London Underground (Here I started questioning, 'why do you go inside whatever that is with a chance of getting trapped when you have enemies ought to kill you?' and my friends were like, 'It's to make the movie more thrilling! Its for the effects, Jess!')

Then yep, a lot of killings happened again, car chases, running, getting rescued then being ambushed by terrorists again... seriously the movie is so fast-paced that when they are showing scenes from the defense office, both in London and US, it was just boring... Give us the action!

And of course, uh-gain, the President was captured, then Banning should save the day and whatnot (If you watched Olympus Has Fallen, IT'S THE FREAKING SAME ROUTINE)

America wins, terrorists lose. (I don't want to give the whole story, just go watch it if you're so curious)

What I thought about the movie
  • THIS IS THE REASON WHY WE HAVE RACISM STILL! Why can't be the terrorist be Americans as well? Like seriously, this is why Arab, Indian people are getting discriminated. (To be honest, we just laughed about the portrayal of the terrorists in this film, we even named the handsome Arab guy, Zayn and making puns about him leaving 1D)
  • "Where is the royal family in all of this?" this is what my friend kept on asking me. Well, do we have some kind of explanation for this? I mean, it's London after all.
  • And whoa!!! the fight scenes with the knife is just so intense! There is so much blood in this movie that I didn't even get to finish my popcorn and I always finish my popcorn (even in horror films)
  • The supposedly execution was thrilling, with the sword and all.
  • Zayn is cute.
  • You can get a lot of memes in this movie like that one scene where Zayn is complaining about the internet and also wanting to put the assassination on Youtube.
  • I don't even get why Morgan Freeman is a 'main' cast here. I know he is a big-time actor, but all he did in the movie was sit with the defense, call someone, and have that monologue/speech at the end of the movie (Well, every Morgan Freeman movie has his monologue at the end, I am even surprised he is not the voice of Optimus Prime)
  • And yea, like I said, if you watched the Olympus Has Fallen, then you pretty much know the drill, you can just not watch this movie.

To be honest I was really excited about this film because the first one was just so good. Maybe using old tricks won't have a result the same way.
